MDJM Event Management uses Transaction Types to categorise all payments recorded, whether they be incoming payments, or outgoing.
Access the Transaction Types from the MDJM Events tool bar menu under Transactions -> Transaction Types.
Each registered transaction type is listed here. You can add your own terms, delete and edit existing as required to meet the needs of your business.
There are a few built-in terms that MDJM uses throughout its processing and the ability to delete of these terms has been removed. However you can still rename them as required.
The built-in terms are;
- Balance
This term is used to categorise all full event balance payments - Deposit
This term is used to categorise all event deposit payments - Employee Wages
This term is used to categorise all payments of employee wages - Merchant Fees
If you have one of the MDJM Payments add-ons installed and are accepting payments from your website, the payment gateway (such as PayPal) will normally charge a transaction fee. These are categorised here - Other Amount
Payments received towards an event but that do not equal the full balance are categorised here
