Configuring employee user accounts
Employee Profiles
As stated above, information from employee user profiles is utilised within MDJM Content Tags, so it is important that these details are updated for all Administrator users as well as employee’s.
If you are an employer, enable the settings option I am an Employer? within Events Settings.
MDJM adds some custom user profile options in addition to the default fields that WordPress provides.
The more fields you can complete the better but as a minimum you should complete…
Standard WordPress Fields
-
- First Name
The Content Tag{dj_firstname}
utilises this field - Last Name
The Content Tag{dj_lastname}
utilises this field - Display Name
The Content Tag{dj_fullname}
utilises this field - Email
WordPress requires this by default. The Content Tag{dj_email}
utilises this field
- First Name
Custom MDJM Fields
The majority of the custom MDJM profile fields are only beneficial for Clients with the exception of Role which determines which role the employee performs for your business and Primary Phone which can be used for employee’s if you utilise the {dj_primary_phone}
content tag within your templates and content.
Additionally, any fields you have created under the Client Fields menu page are displayed here and available for completion although they are entirely optional.
Updating Administrator Profiles
From the WordPress Users menu select Your Profile and complete as many of the fields as possible, or you wish to complete. Click Update Profile when you’re done.
Your other Administrators should do the same, although you can do this on their behalf by going to the WordPress Users menu. Click the Administrators link to filter by Administrators only.
Click on the relevant name and complete the fields as above.
Updating Employee Profiles
Each employee can update their own profile by following the same steps as Administrators.
Alternatively, follow the same steps described above to update their profiles on their behalf and filter by employee’s.
