Playlist Categories

Allow playlist entries to be categorised

Playlist Categories can be used to categorise songs that a client has entered into their event playlist. When the playlist is displayed on-screen, entries are grouped by their category.

MDJM creates some default categories during installation, but you can edit or delete these and add your own via the MDJM Events tool bar menu and selecting Events -> Playlist Categories.

The category Guest can be edited and renamed, but it cannot be deleted. This is the category against which all entries are assigned when a guest is adding entries to the playlist.

You can also select a category as default. In doing so, this category will be highlighted by default when a new playlist entry is being added.

Playlist Categories are especially useful for events such as Weddings allowing the Bride & Groom to specify songs such as First Dance.
